Family Book Tasting (Families)
Thursday, August 20
6:00pm - 6:30pm
St. Charles Public Library
Miller Haase Community RoomStop by for a snack and a quick “taste” of the featured book as our Librarian reads aloud the first few chapters. If you like it, make sure to take home a copy to continue the reading fun at home!
This month we will be featuring Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus by Dusti Bowling; a hilarious coming of age mystery about Aven, a girl who has to start all over again (school, friends, everything!) when her parents move her across the country as they take over running an amusement park. Oh, and did I mention that Aven does all this while being hilarious, upbeat, and yes, she even does it without arms!
Finish reading it as a family and come chat with us about the book! We'd love to hear what you thought! Loved the book? Be sure to continue the reading journey with the next book in the series!
