The duo Tempero Brasileiro consists of flutist Julie Koidin and guitarist Neal Alger.
Each has been a staple of the Chicago area music scene for decades and in 2017 they combined forces out of their mutual love of Brazilian choro music. Choro was Brazil's first "urban" music which was first made famous in the United States by 1940s film star, Carmen Miranda. In 2020, Julie moved to Austin, Texas, but continues to perform with Neal at various venues in Illinois. In this concert, the duo will perform a selection of their favorites in the Brazilian and South American repertoire including some originals. DROP IN
