Teen Self Defense Workshop (Grades 9-12)

Huntley Community RoomLearn basic physical self-defense skills and techniques from a certified instructor.
Attendees will participate in a series of discussions and be introduced to basic physical self-defense skills and techniques. Training will focus on three key areas: Mindset, Skill Set and Planning. Specific topics may include Situational Awareness, Bystander Intervention, Consent, Healthy Relationships, Simple Effective Strikes, How to Escape Common Grabs, and much more.
All topics will be presented at an age-appropriate level for those in attendance. The purpose of the training is to empower the attendees through self defense training.
All attendees must sign the electronic waiver in order to participate. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian complete the waiver. Please complete the electronic waiver in advance of the event. The waiver is available at SCPL Teen Self Defense Workshop - 6/25 at 1:00pm (smartwaiver.com).
