Join us as Connie Martin tells the history of the Underground Railroad, safe routes used from South to North, and stories of how family quilts held secret codes and hidden messages. Grown ups welcome.
Connie, as a sixth-generation descendant of captured and enslaved Africans, has had stories passed down to her as part of her family history and enjoys retelling not only her families stories, but also the history of the Underground Railroad and the abolitionists who changed history.
