Enjoy some stories, explore the outdoors at the Nature Center at LeRoy Oakes and learn how you can create beautiful things with nature! Each new video will feature a book, introduce a fun activity for you to do at home, and highlight the bi-weekly StoryWalk®. A StoryWalk® is a story you can read at the forest preserve while taking a walk! 

In partnership with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.

Make a DIY Bird Feeder!

You will need: 

• Old plastic bottle with cap (cleaned & dried)
• 2 sticks, dowel rods, or pencils
• String or twine
• Bird seed
• Thumb tack
• Sharp scissors
