Award-winning jazz pianist Matt Peterson will be performing works from his new jazz album “Better Worlds."
Matt is the composer, pianist, and bandleader on the album, which has been hailed by All About Jazz as an “exuberant and captivating collection of music.”
The album features 10 original compositions in addition to a unique arrangement of the Beatles’ “Blackbird,” and is a rich blend of traditional and modern jazz, with influences from funk, blues, and classical styles. In addition to his recording projects, Matt runs his own private lesson studio with over 35 weekly students, plays for the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago, and plays solo and in various groups around Chicago at jazz clubs, weddings, and private events.
