Singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Ramont will bring original & cover Americana/roots songs and insights, joined by cellist Kenny Kryger.
Dave Ramont was born in St. Charles, IL with a song in his head. The doctors couldn’t get it out. He went on to teach at RPM Creative Music in St. Charles, play in theatre productions, release four solo albums, and gig extensively around the Chicago area, Midwest and points beyond. DJ Richard Milne of Chicago’s WXRT called Dave’s record Scrawny “A delicious collection of distinctly American music”, while journalist/music critic Mark Guarino called it “The finest collection of songwriting I’ve heard in a long time.” Dave also co-founded swillbilly band Dick Smith, who released three albums. Their record Smoke Damage was chosen as one of Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s top 3 independent releases of that year. DROP IN
