Join artist and writer Carly Palmer for a unique collage-making workshop! This introductory workshop will introduce students to the art of hand-cut paper collaging.
Collaging offers a way to re-purpose and re-imagine materials. It also has the ability to create connections between disparate images and ideas to tell a new story. The theme for this workshop will be inspired by the Surrealism art movement. Participants will “dream” in collage by exploring his work and creating their very own unique paper collages. This collage workshop is designed with the invitation to engage with one’s creativity through self-expression, play, and be exploratory by nature. Students will be guided and invited to create their own collages in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. All materials will also be provided. Students are welcome to bring their favorite magazines and/or paper clippings that they would like to incorporate into their collages. No experience is necessary. All are welcome! Just bring an open mind to play with possibilities! To learn more about Carly, follow her on Instagram @artfullycurious or visit www.carlypalmer.com
