This presentation will focus on Home Repair Scams: what they are, how to spot them and prevent being taken advantage of, and how to report them.

Often, your home is your most valuable financial asset. One out of five complaints received at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General involves disputes between homeowners and home repair contractors.  

Join us for a presentation led by Attorney General Kwame Raoul’s community outreach team. 

Learn how to: 

  • Ask the right questions about proposals for work on your home 
  • Make informed choices when hiring contractors  
  • Protect yourself from common home repair scams 
  • Turn to the Attorney General’s Office if you need help
